I Joined ITC Infotech India Ltd in Oct 2010 as project manager in engineering services.
I’m writing this to highlight my plight, despite having given over 8+ years of my life serving the organization with utmost loyalty and passion. I wanted to bring to your attention, that sincerity and passionate work gets trampled away in ITC Infotech due to the unchecked personal interests of management which is against core values of the organization. The consequence of which is that I am now going through a lot of mental harassment impacting my health & personal life.
The business I got to company from my personal contacts as delivery manager & Total contribution to the company for last 8 years is nearly 16% of revenue of overall Engineering service revenue. Looking back in time, I realize that I have spent the best time of my life and 8 years for ITC Infotech giving away all my personal contacts to generate business.
 
 During the last 8 years I have worked under many LOB Heads and Vice presidents; I have consistently received excellent performance rating A & A+ from 2011-12 to 2016-17.
Considering my consistent performance over the year’s company promoted me to Senior Project manager in the year 2014 & with below awards endorsing my performances.
2014: Achiever of the Month – Effective Manager
2014 – 15: Gold club achiever award(only resource in engineering services for the year to get highest award of ITC Infotech “Gold Club Achiever award”)
2015 – 16: Star Performance award
2016: TAP award – Star project
 
In the month of November 2017, I took initiative to celebrate “Kannada Rajyotsava” in the campus with Management permission for the first time in 15 years of ITC Infotech history. This was a self-funded event by employees; it was a grand success with cultural activities & maximum participation from the employees.
There was resistance from some of the management team for this event & this was evident when V. Sreenivasan – President, Line of business & Executive committee member advised us not to hoist the Karnataka Flag during the event inside ITC Infotech campus.
 
Series of incidents after  November 2017 event:
In the month of February 2018, Venkataramana Daita called me for an informal meeting & asked me to look for a job outside ITC Infotech stating business is not doing well. He said this was a personal advice for me to take care of myself & my family. I was shocked since I’m the top performer of the year & disappointed hearing this from him; who is an underperformer himself & who was suppose to be responsible for de-growth of engineering services in FY 2016-17.
End of Mar’18, I was surprised to see that I was removed from ES Delivery management project while submitting timesheet without any notice or consent from meI wrote a mail on 30th March’18 asking for justification to PMO, Delivery head & Venkataramana Daita with no response until end of April’18. This clearly indicates either incompetence or an act of personal vengeance and mental torture of an employee.
When I asked the reason for moving me to bench, he said it’s a management prerogative & cannot be justified for all actions from management. I disagree that management prerogatives cannot be explained to employees, and unable to understand/comprehend what the management prerogative/agenda could be.
 In Jun’18, HR arranged one on one discussion with Mr, Sudarshan Srinath (Sr. VP); where he explained for about 45 minutes on de-growth, low gross on margin performance of engineering services for which management wants to shut down the business unit. Wherein he is fighting to save engineering services business by reducing delivery overheads.
When I asked for the reason for my inclusion in this overhead reduction process despite being top performer of the year; He gave me the example of his own experience when he owned business for few years & had to let go many good people for not having business for couple of years. I am now wondering as to why ITC Infotech brought in a person at the senior management level, someone who takes pride in letting go of his own employees who helped him to build his organization. He is heading IDES LOB an important & critical position of the company who is responsible to grow the business wherein he has failed to generate business for years in his own establishment. He was not ready to listen to my version and making it as management mandate for this premeditated way of laying off employees unlawfully without rationale.
During the period (Jun’18 to Aug’18) I sent mails to CEO – Sushma Rajagopalan, CHRO – Anand Talwar, Abhinav Pandeya (Senior HR) and Sahyog (an employee grievance committee in ITC infotech) seeking justification for this unethical, unprofessional act against me. But not even an single response from either Top Management or HR for my grievances.

Thanks for reading through till here, The reason why I am writing is based on my observation that when such an unfair episode happens to a localite , the candidate considering the commitments and thinking of family…generally end up taking whatever offer comes on the way and silently swallowing the bitter experience…but I have realized by doing so the atrocities will continue and with this I am attempting to create awareness that such a person is not alone and hereby trying to kindle the fighting spirit by not accepting such ill-treatment from individuals like mentioned above!!!
